Full Description

An oval pit, approximately 12.8m x 7.4m, is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of a field east of Maranoa Slepe Farm (1). It is possible it could be the remains of an extractive pit of medieval or later date. It was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). This feature is not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2).
