A group of three circular depressions are visible as dispersed earthworks on aerial photographs of Rempstone Heath (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of bomb craters associated with Second World war activities in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are still visible as earthworks on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2).
