A group of parallel linear ditches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs to the east of Fitzworth Copse (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of drainage ditches or cultivation marks of probable medieval or post medieval date. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2).
