Summary
A group of parallel linear ditches contained within a rectilinear enclosure are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of Ower Heath. They are considered likely to be the remains of cultivation marks or a drainage system of probable medieval or post medieval date.

Full Description
A group of parallel linear ditches contained within a rectilinear enclosure, approximately 106.8m x 52.9m, are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of Ower Heath (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of cultivation marks or a drainage system of probable medieval or post medieval date. Thse features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2).
