A group of three circular depresions are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Fitzworth Point taken in 1947 (1). It is possible they could be the remains of bomb craters associated with Second World War activities in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (2).
