Full Description

A linear earthwork bank is visible on aerial photographs of Round Island (1-2). It is considered likely to be the remains of a field boundary of probable medieval or post medieval date. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive imagery available to the project (3), the area now being heavily obscured by scrub.
