Full Description

Two trackways, which may date to between the late post medieval to the Second World War periods, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the west of Ferry Road, Studland Heath. The trackways are visible as narrow banks, oriented approximately north west-south east. They measure up to 235 m in length. (1) The trackways either underlie or cut through another area of trackways on a different orientation (see MDO29044). The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
