Full Description

A possible Second World War gun post is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1951 on Old Nick's Ground, Studland. The gun post is formed of a circular structure, measuring 13 m in diameter, with an opening to the south east. (1) The gun post is located within an area of bomb craters (see MDO29056) and to the south west of a ranging arrow and associated structure (see MDO29058). This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
