A Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 to the north of Ballard Down, Studland. The crater is sub-circular and measures 6 m in diameter. (1) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
