Full Description

A possible Second World War HAA battery is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of 1946 and 1951 on Studland Heath to the south east of Greenlands Farm. The site is formed of four sub-circular banked enclosures arranged in a semi-circle and a sub oval enclosure in the centre. (1-2) The site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
