A possible post medieval extractive pit is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs of 1951 to the north west of the Glebeland Estate, Studland. The pit is sub-circular and measures 14 m in diameter. (1) The pit may have been used for the extraction of chalk. This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
