Full Description

Medieval or post medieval strip field boundaries are visible as earthworks on recent aerial and lidar imagery to the west of Cuckoo Pound, Langton Matravers. The earthworks consist of three areas of linear banks oriented north-south and east-west. They extend up to 350 m in length and are visible over an area measuring approximately 700 m by 260 m. (1-2) This site was digitally plotted during the South west Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
