Summary
An extensive area of military features dating to the Second World War are visible on aerial photographs. Features included deeply cut roadways with turning ovals at each end as well as other miscellanious smaller structures, possibly building platforms. The features are considered to be a tank range associated with military training and the Luworth Ranges.

Full Description
An extensive area of military features dating to the Second World War are visible on aerial photographs (1-3). Features included deeply cut roadways with turning ovals at each end as well as other miscellanious smaller structures, possibly building platforms. The features are considered to be the site of a tank firing range associated the Luworth Ranges. A military tented emcampment presumable associated with these features was located in the grounds of Sedmore House and is described in MDO29193. The features were digitally mapped as part of the the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
