A circular hollow, 6m across, is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs on the cliff-top to the south-east of St Aldhelm's Chapel. It is considered to be a Second World War bomb crater (1). The site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
