A possible early modern wreck site, which may date from the Second World War, is visible as a structure on aerial photographs taken in 1947 to the east of Lower Hamworthy. The wreck measures 26 m in length and just over 5m in width. (1) The site is not visible on modern maps or the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
