A possible modern wreck site, which may date from the Second World War, is visible as a submerged structure on aerial photographs taken in 1948 to the southwest of Sterte. (1) The wreck measures 18m in length and approximately 3m in width. The site is not visible on modern maps or the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (2) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
