A small circular pit, approximatle 10.4m in diameter, is visible at this location as an earthwork on Lidar imagery (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval chalk pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
