A series of trackways are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs of Chaldon Down. They run adjacent to several late prehistoric round barrows (MDO7240-41 & MDO7243-44) suggesting they could be contemporary with them. Alternatively they could be associated with post medieval extractive activities in this area.
