A group of possible Second World War slit trenches are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs taken during 1945 at Baiter. The earthworks consist of a pair of curving sections of ditch flanked by banks. The ditches are approximately 20 metres long and may have been excavated for military training purposes.(1/2) This site is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project. (3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
