A group of pits are visible on aerial photographs of Newlands Warren taken in 1945 (1). They are located within a Second World War barbed wire enclosure (MDO29370) and are considered likely to be contemporary with it. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
