A hollow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of Bindon Hill (1-3). It is considered possible this could be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is still visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images availabel to the project.
