A circular pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of fields to the east of Tyneham Farm (1-2). It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is still visible as an earthwork on the most recent aerial images available to the project.
