A group of eleven pits are visible as earthworks on Lidar imagery of Tyneham Cap (1). They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval extractive pits. These features was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are still visible as slight earthworks on the most recent aerial images available to the project.
