A line of Second World War anti-tank blocks are visible at the west end of Front Beach, inside The Cobb, on photographs taken in 1946-7 (1-2). These beach defences have since been removed. They were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
