A probable Second World War bomb crater is visible as a sub-circular earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1947 of Holton Heath, Wareham St Martin. (1) It measures approximately 20m in diameter. The crater is still partially visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project.(2/3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
