A probable Second World War bomb crater is visible as a sub-circular earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1942 of Lower Hamworthy, Poole. (1) It measures approximately 18m in diameter. The crater is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial imagery available to the project.(2/3) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
