A series of low earthwork banks are visible on lidar taken in 2011 to the west and south-west of Down House. The features are considered to be lynchets of uncertain date although a natural origin cannot be ruled out. (1). The features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
