Summary
A Bronze Age bowl barrow visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs. It is one of a small group of four barrows within a wider linear barrow cemetery. In 1970 this monument was reported as an oval barrow around 123 feel long and 80 feet wide, and between 2 ½ and 5 feet high, within a continuous ditch.

Full Description
Four barrows, including an oval barrow, in NW-SE line across S-facing slope of low ridge running N.N.E. below the Ridgeway. All have been heavily ploughed. 'D'. Ditched oval barrow (70798617) 30 yds SE of 'C' and crossed, near E end by parish boundary with West Knighton. About 123ft long by 80ft within apparently continuous ditch; height 2.5ft rising to 5ft beneath parish boundary where unploughed. <3>
The four barrows are situated in arable fields as follows: 'D' - ST 70798616. Diameter now 32.0m by 24.0m and maximum height 1.2m. North-west of the modern fence it has been ploughed out. None of the four barrows shows any visible evidence of a ditch. 1:2500 Published surveys of 'A', 'C' and 'D' revised. 'B' surveyed at 1:2500 on M.S.D. <4>
