Traces of broad ridge and furrow were formerly visible in Fair Field, Dorchester. They were part of the strip fields of Beggars Knap Furlong in 1844 and were enclosed in 1877.

Full Description
Remains of broad ridge and furrow running N-S were previously visible in Fair Field, Dorchester. These were part of Beggars Knap Furlong in 1844 and were used for lines of pens during fairs. (1)
Fair Field was enclosed in 1877. (2)
The area is now under tarmac and they are no longer visible.
