A Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the 1940s, to the south of the Old Coastguard Cottages, Portland Bill. The crater is sub-circular and measures 10 m in diameter. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
