A possible Second World War pillbox is visible as an structure on aerial photographs of the 1940s, on the coast to the east of the lighthouse at Portland Bill. The building may be a type 24 hexagonal pillbox. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
