A sub-square enclosure of possible 19th to 20th century date is visible as a structure on aerial photographs of the 1940s at the western edge of Tout Quarries, Portland. The enclosure is of uncertain function but may be the base of a structure associated with quarrying. The walled enclosure is sub-square and measures approximately 10 m by 11 m. (1) This site was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
