A hexagonal stucture is visible on aerial photographs (1) of the Chesil Beach section of Wyke Regis Bridging Camp (MDO29869). It is considered likely to be the site of a Type 22 pillbox associated with Second World War military activity in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset).
