A group of buildings and structures are visible on aerial photographs of the middle section of Portlands's North-Eastern Breakwater (1-2). They are considered likely to be the remains of military buildings associated with First or Second World War activities in this area. These features were digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). They are still partially visible at this location on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
