A small square structure is visible on aerial photographs of the Outer Breakwater of Portland Harbour (1-2). It is considered likely to be the remains of a structure associated with Second World War military activity in this area. This feature was digitally plotted during the South West Rapid Coastal Zone Assessment Survey (Dorset). It is still visible at this location on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
