An irregular pit is visible as a cropmark on aerial photographs (1), located within fields to the west of Lower Woodbury Farm. It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. Alternatively it could be a natural feature. It was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
