A pit is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs (1) and Lidar imagery (2), located just to the south of Bere Heath Farm. It is considered likely to be the remains of a post medieval extractive pit. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
