Three hollows are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of Lower Hyde Heath (1-2). They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval or modern extractive pits. They were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. These features are still visible as earthworks on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
