Pits and earthworks probably associated with a modern continuation of post medieval clay extraction in this area are visible on aerial photographs of Little Trigon Hill Plantation taken in 1956 (1). These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project, having now been destroyed by modern quarrying.
