Monument record MDO30219 - Possible late prehistoric or historic banks, Binnegar, East Stoke
Please read our guidance about the use of Dorset Historic Environment Record data.
Summary
A series of low banks and ditches are visible as low earthworks on aerial photographs and Lidar imagery of heathland to the west of Binnegar Plain. They are located just to the south of a late prehistoric battery bank (MDO7709) and it is possible they may be associated with it in some way. Alternatively they could be related to historic activities in this area. They have almost been completely destroyed by modern quarrying.
