A quarry and a series of circular pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of South Heath, East Stoke. They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval or modern sand and gravel quarrying. This area has since been levelled by modern quarrying.

Full Description

A quarry and a series of circular pits are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of South Heath, East Stoke (1-2). They are considered likely to be the remains of post medieval or modern sand and gravel quarrying activities. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are not visible on the most comprehensive aerial images available to the project, having since been levelled by modern quarrying in this area.
