Summary
Two wide parallel banked linears are visible as low earthworks on Geomatics lidar taken in 2010 running roughly north-south to the east of the playing field at Portway. The features are considered to be the remains of a medieval field system although and earlier prehistoric origin cannot be ruled out.

Two wide parallel banked linears are visible as low earthworks on Geomatics lidar taken in 2010 (1) running roughly north-south to the east of the playing field at Portway. The features are considered to be the remains of a medieval field system although an earlier prehistoric origin cannot be ruled out. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
