The probable site of a Second World War bomb crater is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs taken in 1959 on Winfrith Heath (1). The site of the feature is under modern tree-planting and no longer visible on the most recent Google Earth imagery. The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
