Summary
A Bronze Age round barrow, interpreted as either a bell barrow or a robbed out bowl barrow, with possible traces of an external bank to ditch. This is the westernmost of an irregular line of barrows. In 1970 this monument was reported as being around 54 feet in diameter with a mound about 4½ feet high, encircled by a flat area or berm 12 feet wide and a ditch 12 feet wide and 1 foot deep.

'C' SY 69638657. Bell barrow on a slight east slope. Diameter 54ft., height 4ft, with a berm 12ft. Wide and a ditch 12ft. Wide and 1ft. Deep. <1> <3>
A group of four barrows in Cripton Wood. Scheduled. <4>
'C' SY 69628657. Barrow, with no real evidence of a berm. Diameter overall 31.5m., height 1.6m. Encircling ditch 4.5m. Wide and 0.5m. Deep. Central depression 10.0m. In diameter and 0.7m. Deep, from which excavation spill has created the false appearance of a berm. Probably a robbed bowl barrow, not a bell as stated by R.C.H.M. All the barrows are tree-and-scrub-covered but generally well-preserved.
