Three groups of parallel linear features (running roughly N-S) are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the east and north-east of Westwood Coppice. They are considered likely to be the remains of medieval strip fields or ridge and furrow cultivation.

Three groups of parallel linear features (running roughly N-S) are visible as cropmarks on aerial photographs to the east and north-east of Westwood Coppice. They are considered likely to be the remains of medieval strip fields or ridge and furrow cultivation (1). The site was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
