Full Description
An early twentieth-century military installation is visible as extant structures and earthworks on aerial photographs taken in 1946 on Wool Heath tank training area (1). The site comrises three buildings surrounded on two sides by slit trenching. The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are no longer visible on recent Dorset CC digital aerial photographs, the area being partially covered in trees and scrub (2).
