A system of post medieval water meadows is visible as earthworks on aerial photographs of the 1940s to the north of Hurst and south of Waddock Cross. The earthworks can be seen over an area measuring approximately 420 m by 300 m. The water meadows are continue to the west (see MDO30457). (1-3) The features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
