A post medieval extractive pit is visible as an earthwork on lidar imagery of 2010 to the north east of Napier's Copse. The pit is located on Portsdown Chalk Formation and measures 27 by 33 m. (1) This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project.
