A group of mounds running in an east-west line across Morden Heath, from NGR SY 91420 91948 to SY 91725 91854, are visible as earthworks on aerial photographs (1-4). They are considered likely to be the remains of Second World War anti-landing obstacles. These features were digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. They are still visible as earthworks on the most recent comprehensive aerial images available to the project.
