A circular hollow is visible as an earthwork on aerial photographs of the northern part of Gore Heath, Wareham St Martin (1). It is considered likely to be the remains of a Second World War bomb crater. This feature was digitally plotted during the Wild Purbeck Mapping Project. It is not visible on the most recent comprehensive aerial images avaialable to the project, this area now obscured by modern plantation.
